•Pack up extra toys. Decide what to pack away for the move and what to give to charity, friends, family etc. Throw away broken or damaged toys.

•Clean light fixtures, ceiling fans, replace if dated and worn

•Clean and/or replace switch and outlet covers if necessary

•Repair walls and paint if damaged

•Update the window treatments, bamboo shades or roman shades off the shelf are nice and simple to install.

•Create a reading area with a rocking chair, lamp, and book shelf.

•Arrange stuffed animals neatly in groups.

•Hang a fun piece of art on the wall

•Art easel and chair with organized supplies

•Tea party table set up with stuffed animals

•Shelf or dresser with trophies and awards neatly arranged

•building block set or puzzle in progress on small area rug or table.

Remember with DIY staging you want to keep it simple but nice.

Keep these staged rooms organized and functional. If your kids are using the room, once you do all these steps it will be easy to keep staged. Storage bins are great for quick pick ups.

With a little daily upkeep you will be able to get ready for a showing quickly.
